Ambedkar Statue Found Broken in Bihar Village; FIR Against Unknown Persons

A statue of Bhimrao Ambedkar was found damaged in Maintapur village in the Belhar area, police said on Wednesday.

According to the complaint filed by a villager, Gangaram, residents noticed that the statue was missing from its usual place. During a search, it was discovered about 50 metres away in a broken condition.

As the news spread, many villagers gathered at the spot and demanded strict action against those responsible. Police have registered an FIR against unidentified persons.

Belhar SHO Anil Kumar said, “Investigation is underway, and strict action will be taken against those involved.” He also assured that a new statue would be installed in the village soon.
