In Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh, a 14-year-old girl, studying at a local madrasa to fulfil her dreams, fell victim to a terrifying conspiracy. On Sunday morning, when the student stepped out of her hostel to buy some essential items, a young man who was lying in wait trapped her with deceitful talk and kidnapped her.
How the Minor Was Lured and Kidnapped
According to the girl’s father, Akeel, a resident of Sayyadpur Sakri village, his daughter had been studying at Madarsa Mohsinat in Hammalipura for about a year. On May 3, 2026, at around 8 AM, she went outside the madrasa to buy some food but never returned. The madrasa management immediately called the family. The parents and relatives launched a frantic search everywhere, but no clue could be found.
The father revealed the trap laid for his innocent daughter. A young man named Deepu falsely told her that her mother was calling her. Trusting his words, the girl went close to him. The accused then forcibly dragged her into his own house, locked the room, and held her hostage. She remained in captivity for nearly two days while her family and the madrasa members searched for her desperately.
Alcohol, Torture, and a Forced Marriage Drama
What happened during the captivity is spine-chilling. The victim alleged that the accused Deepu, along with his brother Sanjeev and friend Dheeraj, tortured her. They crossed all limits of brutality, forcefully making her drink alcohol under the pretense of a cold drink and then raping her. To crush the identity and dignity of the minor, the accused staged a complete sham of a marriage. The victim was found with sindoor (vermilion) filled in the parting of her hair and mahawar (red dye) applied to her feet, a cruel attempt to portray a forced wedding.
A Desperate Phone Call Saves a Life
Hope flickered in the girl’s life on Tuesday afternoon. By some chance, she managed to get hold of a mobile phone. Gathering immense courage, the minor called her mother. In a hurried and frightened voice, she pleaded, “I am tied up, save me. From where I am bound, I can see the window of the house in front of the madrasa.” Hearing this clue, the family immediately began scouring the houses near the madrasa.
After intense efforts, they found the girl in an unconscious and tied-up state on the rooftop of Deepu’s house in Sheikhpura. The police were called to the spot via the 112 helpline. The rescue video, made by both the family and the police, shows the girl being recovered in a severely distressed condition. She was immediately rushed to the district hospital for medical treatment.
Police Action and Accused on the Run
Upon regaining consciousness on the way to the hospital, the girl narrated her ordeal. She stated that Deepu, his brother Sanjeev, and their friend Dheeraj had kidnapped and held her hostage. While the main accused, Deepu, fled the spot when the girl was being recovered, the Kannauj police acted. Based on a written complaint by the victim’s father, an FIR has been registered against the accused under serious sections. The Superintendent of Police confirmed that one accused has been detained and is being interrogated, while further legal proceedings are underway. The police assured that strict action would be taken against the culprits who shamed humanity with this heinous act.
