In a bid to establish stronger connections with voters from the minority community in Muslim-dominated Lok Sabha constituencies of western Uttar Pradesh, the BJP’s Minority Morcha is gearing up to organize ‘Quami Chaupal’ in over 4,100 villages, initiating discussions on community concerns.

The campaign is scheduled to commence on February 10 from Kaserwa village in Muzaffarnagar district.

The BJP Minority Morcha plans to deploy Lok Sabha constituency-wise coordinators for the ‘Quami Chaupal’ program across 23 constituencies, including Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Kairana, Meerut, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Bijnor, Amroha, Rampur, Bareilly, Agra, and Aligarh.

Leaders from the Morcha will engage with Muslim-dominated villages, addressing government schemes, highlighting work done for minorities, and aiming to comprehend the challenges faced by the community. The primary objective is to strengthen ties between the BJP and the Muslim community.

These sessions, organized in the homes of influential village figures or in madrassas, aim to attract Muslims seeking a party committed to their welfare. By connecting with this segment, the Morcha aims to secure support for the BJP in elections.

Kunwar Basit Ali, President of BJP Minority Morcha’s Uttar Pradesh unit, explained that designated coordinators will spend at least 10 days in their assigned areas, engaging with Muslim villagers to understand their problems.

The ‘Quami Chaupal’ initiative complements the ongoing ‘Shukriya Modi Bhai Jaan’ program, with a specific focus on connecting with Muslim men voters.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP secured 19 out of 26 seats in Western Uttar Pradesh, while the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party alliance claimed seven seats. The BJP’s current strategy aims to win all 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh.
