Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has launched a political march titled “Rozgar Do, Social Justice Do” padyatra, using the platform to sharply criticise the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During the campaign launch, Singh raised several issues including unemployment, rising prices, and governance policies, accusing the government of failing on key economic and social fronts.
Allegations Over Foreign Policy and Religious Double Standards
Singh alleged that there is inconsistency in the government’s treatment of Muslims in India and abroad. He said that while the Prime Minister engages warmly with Muslim leaders during foreign visits, particularly in Gulf countries, the situation for Muslims within India is different.
He claimed, “On one hand, the Prime Minister hugs leaders in Arab countries, but on the other hand, he hates Muslims living in India,” calling it a “double character” of the government.
His remarks came as part of broader political criticism aimed at the ruling party’s domestic and international policies.

Attack on Inflation and Rising Costs
The AAP leader also targeted the government over inflation, highlighting the rising cost of essential commodities.
He said that the price of commercial LPG cylinders has increased significantly and claimed that even small gas cylinders have become costlier by ₹261. He also expressed concern over rising gold prices, stating that gold has reached nearly ₹1.5 lakh per tola.
Singh said that while prices of essential goods are rising, a large section of the population continues to depend on subsidised food grains and ration support.
He stated that nearly 80 crore people in the country rely on government ration schemes, questioning the economic pressure on poor and middle-class families.
Remarks on Police and Security System
Criticising law enforcement policies, Singh questioned reports that police personnel were being asked to conduct patrols on bicycles.
He said, “If criminals run away after committing a crime, how will police chase them on bicycles?” He called the move impractical and raised concerns over public safety and policing capacity.
He described it as “playing with the security of the country,” while demanding better resources for law enforcement agencies.
Comments on Elections and Allegations of Irregularities
Singh also alleged large-scale irregularities in elections in West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh, claiming voter manipulation before polls. He referred to Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and alleged that votes were being removed ahead of elections.
He also predicted that upcoming Panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh would reflect the political ground reality.
The ruling party has not officially responded to these specific allegations made during the padyatra.
Political Campaign Continues
The “Rozgar Do, Social Justice Do” padyatra is expected to continue as part of AAP’s broader political outreach focusing on employment, inflation, and governance issues ahead of upcoming elections.
