PM Modi Calls for Choice Between “Vote Jihad” and “Ram Rajya” in MP Rally

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone district, saying that India stands at a crucial juncture where voters must decide between “vote jihad” and “Ram Rajya.” Modi criticized the opposition Congress for promoting what he termed as “dangerous” intentions and inciting “vote jihad” against him.

“In India’s history, we are at a turning point where you have to decide whether vote jihad will prevail or Ram Rajya,” Modi said.

Modi criticized the opposition INDIA alliance partners, accusing them of prioritizing their dynasties over the welfare of the masses.

“INDI alliance partners are not bothered about the fate of masses…they are fighting elections to save their dynasty,” Modi said targeting the opposition bloc.

The Prime Minister expressed concern over the alleged divisive tactics employed by some political parties, likening the call for “vote jihad” to threats made by terrorists across the border.

The PM asked the people whether they have heard the popular saying “Apna kaam banta…” (to be concerned only about own work), to which members of the gathering added “bhaad me jaaye janata” (not concerned about others).

“Terrorists in Pakistan are threatening jihad against India. And here, those in the Congress have also announced to do vote jihad against Modi…that means people of a particular religion are being asked to vote unitedly against Modi. Imagine what level the Congress has stooped to,” he said.

Addressing the gathering, Modi urged voters to recognize the accomplishments achieved under his leadership, including economic growth, the abrogation of Article 370, and initiatives to alleviate poverty.

“Your vote has made India fifth largest economy in the world, led to the abrogation of Article 370 (which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir) and made a tribal woman president of the country. Your vote has lifted 25 crore people in India out of poverty,” Modi said addressing the gathering.

“Your vote has ended the wait of 500 years to make the grand temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya,” he said.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the pace of polling in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections and engaged with booth-level workers to encourage increased voter participation.
