Muslim man Arrested for Spreading Fake News About Dalit Ban at Ram Temple: Ayodhya Police

Police have arrested a man named Shan-e-Alam for spreading ‘fake news’ about the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Recently, Shan-e-Alam shared a video claiming that Dalits were not allowed to enter the Ram Temple. Upon investigation, the police found these allegations to be baseless and the claims made in the video were proven false.

According to the police, Shan-e-Alam threatened to kill the person who filed a complaint against him. Finally, the police arrested him on Wednesday.

This incident took place in the Ramjanmabhoomi police station area in Ayodhya district. On June 9, a Hindu youth filed a complaint with the police. The complainant said that on June 9, he was checking his Facebook profile when he came across a video shared by Shan-e-Alam. In the video, which was posted on June 6, Shan-e-Alam falsely claimed that Dalits were being banned from entering the Ramjanmabhoomi temple.

The video mentioned several Dalit castes, causing significant distress to the complainant, who is actively involved in serving monks in Ayodhya. Based on this complaint, the police registered an FIR against Shan-e-Alam on June 9 under BNS sections 505 and 505 (2). The police also charged him under BNS section 352 and the IT Act for threatening the complainant.

A police officer from the Ramjanmabhoomi station said, “During our investigation, we found that the claims made in the video were completely false. The accused, Shan-e-Alam, has also threatened the complainant with death. We have arrested him and are currently carrying out further investigations and legal proceedings.”
