A 45-year-old Muslim man named Shamshad Ansari was brutally lynched by a furious mob in the village of Sikni, Ramgarh, Jharkhand.

Shamshad Ansari, the victim, was accused of allegedly extorting money from Haradhan Mahato under the pretext of helping his son, Rajkumar Mahato.

According to reports, Shamshad had promised to resolve a potential issue involving Rajkumar Mahato and had taken money from Haradhan in exchange for his assistance.

The situation took a tragic turn when Ramkumar Mahato, the son of Haradhan, returned home only to discover that Shamshad Ansari had allegedly taken money from his father under false pretenses. Infuriated by this revelation, Ramkumar Mahato rallied a group of villagers to confront Shamshad.

The incident unfolded near the railway bridge on the Sikni-Marangmarcha road. Shamshad was riding a bike when he was located by the angry mob, comprised of approximately 30 to 40 villagers. Witnesses recount that the villagers forcibly stopped Shamshad, dragged him from his bike, and subjected him to a brutal assault using sticks.

Police from the Rajarappa police station arrived on the scene after being alerted to the incident. Shamshad Ansari was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The incident has created an atmosphere of tension and unease in the area, with residents grappling with the shock of the mob violence that unfolded. Inspector Harinandan Singh, the station in-charge, confirmed that the villagers were responsible for Shamshad Ansari’s death due to the relentless assault he suffered.
