Israeli PM Netanyahu Hails Ratan Tata as “Champion of Israel-India Friendship” After His Passing

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his condolences following the death of Indian industry leader Ratan Tata, whom he hailed as a “champion of the friendship between Israel and India.” Tata, the former chairman of the Tata Group, passed away at 86 on Wednesday evening.

In a post on X directed to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Netanyahu stated, “To my friend, Prime Minister @narendramodi. I and many in Israel mourn the loss of Ratan Naval Tata, a proud son of India and a champion of the friendship between our two countries.” He also requested Modi to convey his condolences to Tata’s family.

Additionally, Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong paid tribute to Tata, describing him as a true friend of Singapore. French President Emmanuel Macron also extended his sympathies on Friday, praising Tata for his contributions to innovation and manufacturing, as well as his efforts to strengthen industries in both India and France.
