The All India Muslim Development Council (AIMDC) has launched the 40 Under 40 Leadership Program, an initiative to identify and support young Muslim leaders shaping India’s future. The program aims to recognize individuals under 40 who are making significant contributions to society in fields such as social justice, business, technology, environmental conservation, and community development.
The initiative is designed to spotlight emerging changemakers who are creating meaningful impact while also equipping them with the resources to expand their leadership roles.
Building a Network of Changemakers
AIMDC General Secretary Mohammed Imthiyaz emphasized the program’s broader vision. “We are excited to celebrate these young leaders who are breaking barriers and driving positive change. Their work is essential for fostering innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable development,” he said.
Unlike conventional awards, the 40 Under 40 Leadership Program goes beyond recognition. Selected participants will gain access to:
- Leadership Workshops to enhance strategic thinking and community-building skills.
- Mentorship Programs featuring seasoned leaders offering guidance and support.
- Networking Opportunities connecting them with influential figures across sectors.
- Visibility and Recognition through media platforms, amplifying their achievements and impact.
Who Can Apply?
The program is open to young Muslim leaders under 40 actively contributing to India’s social and economic landscape. Applicants must demonstrate measurable impact, leadership potential, and a commitment to long-term change.
Nominations and applications can be submitted online at www.40u40.org. The submission deadline is March 31, 2025. A panel of experts will evaluate applications based on leadership, innovation, and community impact.
Why This Initiative Matters
India’s young leaders, particularly those from marginalized communities, often face systemic challenges in gaining visibility and support. AIMDC’s initiative aims to bridge this gap by providing mentorship, recognition, and opportunities to scale their initiatives.
“By investing in these leaders today, we are investing in the future of our community and the country,” Imthiyaz added. “From tackling poverty and inequality to advancing environmental sustainability and education, their contributions are crucial to shaping a better tomorrow.”
