The Allahabad High Court is set to hear a petition related to the November 24 violence in Sambhal. The plea has been filed by Salman, the brother of Bilal, who died in the violence.

Bilal, a resident of Hayatnagar in Sambhal, was killed during the firing that broke out on November 24. His family has accused the police of shooting him. However, Sambhal Police had previously denied the allegations.

Three days ago, Sambhal Police said they arrested a man named Mulla Afroz, claiming he fired the shots that killed Bilal and another victim, Ayan.

Speaking about the case, Salman said, “We want justice for my brother Bilal. The truth must come out, and those responsible should be punished.”

The family has expressed doubts over the police’s claims and hopes the court will provide clarity.

Sambhal Police Superintendent said, “We have arrested the accused, Mulla Afroz, who confessed to firing during the violence. The investigation is ongoing.”

The hearing in the Allahabad High Court is expected to provide direction in the case and address the concerns raised by the victims’ families.
