After much speculation and his fifth change of stance in a decade, Nitish Kumar has officially resigned as the Chief Minister of Bihar. In a meeting with Bihar Governor Rajendra Arlekar this morning, Kumar handed in his resignation, marking his eighth resignation in a political career that initially showcased good governance but later faced challenges due to his frequent shifts in political alliances.
The move comes amid discussions about Kumar’s plans to join forces with the BJP once again. Before finalizing his decision, he is expected to meet with members of his party, JDU.
Kumar’s political journey, once admired for good governance, has seen a decline in popularity and electoral support due to his repeated switches in political affiliations.
