A 28-year-old Dalit woman in the Sushant Golf City police station area said that seven people had abducted her and raped her when she went to get medication. Anwar Ruyani, a resident of Katra Baksa and allegedly the main accused in the crime, was arrested by a police unit.

The woman filed a report alleging that she was raped on Tuesday afternoon while on her way to the nearby CHC.

In the complaint, the woman said that she was caught by seven people near Khurdahi market at midday. Following a verbal altercation, the accused allegedly carried the victim to a garden where they gang-raped her. When she objected, they beat her. Her cell phone was also taken away by them.

When the victim got home after the incident, she told her family about it. The woman and her family arrived at the Sushant Golf City police station late at night and filed a complaint against Anwar and seven other individuals.

Anwar was apprehended following a raid on his home, according to ADCP South Shashank Singh. The sufferer is still in disbelief. The cops claimed, “We could not talk to her much.” The officer said, “We are raiding all potential hideouts of others named in the case.”
