A case of alleged assault and caste-based abuse of a Dalit student has surfaced from Gurugram district, where the family has accused a school teacher of physically attacking their son and using casteist slurs.
The incident reportedly took place at a private institution, Joginder High School in the Sohna area.
According to the complaint, Kishanlal, a resident of Javed Colony, alleged that his son Mohit was beaten by a teacher identified as Satish after he failed to bring his Hindi textbook to class.
“He pushed my son, his head hit the bench”
The father claimed that the situation escalated quickly and turned violent.
“The teacher pushed my son, and his head hit the bench, causing injury,” Kishanlal alleged.

He further said that Mohit already suffers from health issues, which had been communicated to the school earlier. “After the beating, his condition worsened,” he added.
Student referred to Gurugram hospital
Following the incident, the injured student was first taken to a local hospital in Sohna for initial treatment. Due to his condition, doctors later referred him to a hospital in Gurugram for further care.
The family has also alleged that the teacher used caste-based abusive language against the student, calling it a serious act of humiliation.
A written complaint has been filed at the local police station, seeking action against the accused teacher.
School denies allegations
However, the school management has denied all accusations. School operator Tejpal Saini said the matter was being “unnecessarily exaggerated” and insisted that no assault had taken place.

“There was no beating by the teacher,” he said, rejecting the claims made by the family.
Police begin investigation
Police have started an investigation into the matter and are recording statements from both sides.
Officials said that the truth will be established only after a thorough probe. “Statements are being taken and evidence is being examined. Action will be based on findings,” police said.
