Mohan Bhagwat, head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has once again said that there’s the need for unity among Hindus. He said, “The unity of India is the guarantee for the protection of Hindus.” He explained that Hindu society and India are deeply connected, and only when Hindu society becomes strong will India gain true glory.
In a special interview with RSS’s ‘Organizer Weekly,’ Bhagwat raised questions about the silence of human rights organizations on the atrocities against Hindus in neighboring countries. He said, “Until Hindu society strengthens itself, no one in the world will care about them.” He claimed that if Hindus in India become strong, the respect for Hindu society worldwide will also become a source of pride for India.
He added, “Only a powerful Hindu society can bring along those who today do not identify as Hindus but were Hindus once. When Hindu society in India becomes strong, naturally Hindus around the world will gain strength too. This work is ongoing but not yet complete. Slowly but surely, progress is being made.”
On the growing strength within Hindu society, Bhagwat said, “The anger against the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh is unlike anything seen before. Now, Hindus there say, ‘We will not run away; we will fight for our rights.’” He said the internal power of Hindu society is increasing, and expanding the organization will strengthen this power further. He stressed, “We must keep fighting until this goal is achieved.”
Bhagwat also said that the RSS will work for the all-around development of the Hindu nation while respecting international laws. He said volunteers take an oath to protect religion, culture, and society, and work for the comprehensive progress of the Hindu nation.
