The Indian People in Solidarity with Palestine (IPSP) has intensified its campaign in India in support of the global Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) Movement, urging citizens to boycott companies and products that it says are linked to Israel and its military actions in Gaza.
The group described the situation in Gaza as a “full-blown genocide,” claiming that over 63,000 Palestinians have been killed through bombings and starvation. In its statement, IPSP said, “It is the question of humanity, of freedom and of resistance when a full-blown genocide goes on… Israelis carry dual citizenship in their pockets as they know this is not their land but colonies they made over the corpses of Palestinians.”

As part of its latest actions, IPSP members held peaceful demonstrations and distributed pamphlets outside Adidas outlets in different states. They called for a complete boycott of Adidas, accusing the company of being complicit in Israel’s actions.
The group also urged consumers to boycott other multinational brands, including Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Tata, Reliance, Zara, Starbucks, HP, Dell, Pizza Hut, Domino’s, KFC, and Unilever. According to IPSP, profits from these companies are linked to investments in Israel, which they argue contribute to violence against Palestinian civilians.

The campaign extends beyond companies to artists, celebrities, and institutions that publicly support Israel. One pamphlet stated, “Unite and mobilize in support of the Palestinian liberation struggle. It is the strength of collective action and solidarity that can uproot any kind of oppression.”
The IPSP also demanded that the Indian government cut all diplomatic ties with Israel. While the state officially recognizes the Palestinian cause, the group accused authorities of repressing voices of solidarity. “We aim to expose the hypocrisy of the Indian state which is brutally repressing, through its police force, any voice of resistance in solidarity with Palestine,” the statement read.

Vowing to continue its efforts, the group said it is committed to spreading the BDS campaign throughout India. “We are dedicated to engaging with the public, informing them about the BDS India campaign, and raising awareness of the Palestinian plight,” the IPSP said.
