‘Kill a Hundred Muslims for Every Hindu’: Hindu Monk in Rajasthan Calls for Violence Against Muslims

A Hindu monk in Rajasthan’s Balotra region on Saturday, August 17, delivered a hate speech, openly calling for violence against Muslims.

In a video that sparked outrage, the Hindu monk appears to address a crowd holding tricolour and saffron flags.

“If they (Muslims) kill a Hindu, We will kill a hundred.  We will go to their homes and kill them,” he is heard saying.

Addressing a large crowd, the monk called Muslims “demons” and “cannibals”. The gathering ended with an oath taken by all present at the event, affirming to make Hindus aware and teach lessons to Muslims.

The monk also claimed that Azaan, the call to prayer is a call for violence against Hindus.

According to the reports, on the same day, similar open calls for violence against Muslims were given in Maharashtra’s Thane by the Vishwakarma Hindu Parishad (VHP). Later, a rally was organised by VHP alongside Sakal Hindu Samaj raising inflammatory slogans.

Insulting Allah, extremists chanted “When mullahs (referring to Muslims)  will be killed, We will shout Ram’s name.

The extremists sloganeered, “Allah tera baap ka naam, jai shree Ram. Jisko shahe Afzal khan, usko bhejo Pakistan. Jab mulle kaate jayenge, Ram Ram chillayenge.”

In this March, Hindus were urged to take action against the Muslim community in response to the alleged violence in Bangladesh against Hindus.

On August 16, leaders from the far-right in their speech were heard targeting Muslims, ordering Hindus to prepare for war and to ‘keep weapons’ ready. Rohingya Muslims were also attacked during their address to a crowd which listened consciously.
