Kumbh Mela Stampede Killed Over 1,000, Yogi Govt is Hiding the Truth: Yati Narsinghanand

Controversial Hindutva leader Yati Narsinghanand has stated that the Kumbh Mela stampede that happened on January 29 claimed the lives of over 1,000 people.

Criticizing the state government, Narsinghanand accused Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of concealing the casualties of the stampede.

He stated, “This is not an accident, it is the killing of innocents by the current government system.”

“The actual numbers are being hidden and no action will be taken against those who are responsible for the actions that led to this tragic incident,” he alleged.

The official number of deaths released by the UP government falls far short of his allegation that it’s over 1,000. He said that the chief minister is unaware of the real facts and is trusting the disloyal officers.

Narsinghanand has written a letter to Yogi Adityanath expressing his deep disappointment with the administration’s failure to manage the entire incident. In his letter, he wrote, “The corruption and inhuman behaviour of the officers have forced me to write this letter. The trust you place in these self-serving officials is causing you to lose the support of the Hindu community.”

He further stated how he was disappointed after visiting the site of the incident and accused the Chief Minister of lying and covering up the true number of deaths in the disaster. He urged a thorough investigation of the incident and asked the government to take full responsibility for the mishap.

He wrote, “My main concern is not just the loss of lives but the looming disaster the Hindu community faces.”

“Hindus made Narendra Modi the prime minister and you the Chief Minister, hoping for protection but now you are failing us,” he stated expressing his concerns about the safety and future of the Hindu community.
