Mumbai is set to witness an extensive security presence during the Gudi Padwa and Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrations on Sunday and Monday, with nearly 14,000 police personnel deployed across the city.

The security force will include seven additional commissioners, 17 deputy commissioners of police (DCPs), 50 assistant commissioners of police (ACPs), 1,982 police officers, and 11,820 constables. These personnel will be stationed at key locations throughout Mumbai to maintain law and order.

Specialized units such as the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF), Rapid Action Force (RAF), and home guards will also be deployed at strategic points to manage any unforeseen incidents. Patrolling will be conducted in sensitive areas to prevent disturbances and ensure smooth traffic flow during the celebrations.

Authorities have urged the public to celebrate the festivals responsibly by following safety protocols. They have emphasized the importance of communal harmony, being vigilant in crowded areas, and avoiding any interaction with suspicious objects.

In case of emergencies, people are advised to contact the emergency helplines 100 and 112 for quick assistance.

The police force is committed to making the Gudi Padwa and Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrations in Mumbai secure and enjoyable for all.
