Rajasthan Police Parade Accused Who Tried to Block Dalit Groom from Riding Horse

Police in Gudhagorji on Thursday arrested three men accused of trying to stop a Dalit groom from riding a horse during his wedding procession in Titnawad village, Jhunjhunu district, on July 19.

According to Navalgadh DSP Rajveer Singh, the arrested men were identified as Ramesh Kumar, Dilip Singh, and Ranveer Saunthli, all residents of the village. He said police registered a case soon after the incident and began an investigation, which led to the arrests.

After being taken into custody, the three were paraded through the village’s main market, holding their ears and admitting they had made a mistake, promising not to repeat it.
