Viral Video Shows Children Loading Sand
The incident is reported from Achharaund Gram Panchayat in the district. In the viral clip, several students can be seen using shovels and metal pans to load sand—work that is not only inappropriate but also illegal for minors.According to allegations, the task was assigned by school authorities, including teachers, sparking concern over the safety and rights of children within educational institutions.
Parent Alleges Exploitation and Discrimination
The video was recorded by Mahendra, a resident of Acharaundh village, whose children study at the same school. He has accused the school of forcing students into labour and subjecting them to discriminatory treatment.
“My children go to school to study, yet they are being made to perform manual labour there,” Mahendra said. “I humbly appeal to the government and the administration to investigate this matter and take the strictest possible action against those responsible.”
Officials Promise Inquiry After Outrage
Following public anger, District Basic Education Officer Avyakt Ram Tiwari responded to the allegations, stating that schools were closed on the day the incident reportedly occurred.“The video has not yet come to my notice. However, if such a video is circulating, an enquiry will be conducted and appropriate action will be taken,” he said.
