On December 5, a teacher Mohammed Adnan, was dismissed from his position at a local school after he allegedly refused to reciprocate a student’s “Ram Ram” greeting.
According to reports, a class XI student greeted Adnan with the traditional Hindu salutation ‘Ram Ram.’ In response, Adnan reportedly reprimanded the student for the greeting. The incident gained attention when right-wing members learned about it and began protesting outside the school premises.
The protestors recited Hanuman Chalisa, a Hindu hymn dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The situation escalated, leading to Adnan’s dismissal by the school principal.
The principal, in response to the incident, stated, “Children from both communities have studied in our school for the last 30 years, and we never faced such an accusation before. However, we have removed Mohammad Adnan from duty, and the administration has formed a probe committee into the matter.”
The principal also assured that measures would be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
