A shocking case of child abuse has emerged from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, where a play school teacher allegedly burned a five-year-old boy’s private parts with a hot knife. The incident took place on July 24 at Serene Sony Play School, located in the Akatha area under Lalpur-Pandeypur police station.
The young student, who is the son of an advocate, asked his class teacher for permission to use the washroom. When the teacher refused, the child could not control himself and urinated in his pants. The teacher, identified as Preeti Kushwaha, became enraged by this.
Teacher Heated Knife on Gas Stove
According to the complaint filed by the child’s father, the teacher dragged the boy to another room. She then turned on a gas stove, heated a knife until it was red-hot, and burned the child’s private parts. The teacher also physically assaulted the boy and threatened him with severe consequences if he told anyone about what happened.
Family Threatened by School Administration
When the terrified child returned home, he tearfully told his parents about the ordeal. His father and mother tried contacting the class teacher, but she did not answer their calls. When they spoke to the school principal, Hemlata Singh, she allegedly threatened them instead of offering any help.
The next day, when the father visited the school in person, both the principal and the manager refused to provide any assistance or address the issue.
Police Register FIR, Investigation Underway
The father then filed a police complaint, and an FIR has been registered against the teacher and school authorities. Senior police officer Atul Singh confirmed that a case has been registered based on the complaint submitted by the child’s father.
Speaking about the case, Singh said, “A case has been registered based on the complaint submitted by the child’s father,” adding that police are conducting a thorough investigation and further legal action will be taken soon.
The child’s father broke down while describing his son’s condition. He said, “My child came home from school around 1 pm; his penis was burned. The teacher did not answer the phone”.
Medical Report Raises Questions
However, police have noted that the medical report from DDU District Hospital did not mention a burn injury. Police officials stated that investigations are continuing and they are examining all aspects of the case.
A local police official said, “We are investigating the matter thoroughly and will take appropriate action based on our findings”. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made yet.
