Milind Parande, the General Secretary of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), has ignited a fresh debate by suggesting that all political parties should adopt Hindutva as their platform to minimize disputes. His remarks came in response to a recent post by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi titled ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’, in which Gandhi expressed thoughts about Hinduism and the duty to defend the weak.

Parande made these remarks during a program in Nagpur, emphasizing the importance of Hindu thought for humanity. He expressed his belief that the entire world should come closer to Hindu philosophy and adopt it for the betterment of mankind.

“It is a matter of joy if this is happening. More and more people should join Hindu thought. All political parties should adopt Hindutva as their platform so nothing would be left for disputes,” said Parande during his speech on the sidelines of the event.

He further acknowledged the positive aspects of Rahul Gandhi’s post on Hinduism, stating, “A few things said by him are good. It’s a good start. Certainly, the world will get drawn towards Hindu thought.”

Rahul Gandhi’s post on ‘X’ reflected on the inclusive nature of Hinduism, emphasizing love, compassion, and respect for all individuals in the vast ocean of life. In his post, he wrote, “A Hindu looks at herself and everyone in this ocean of life with love, compassion, and respect because she understands we are all swimming and drowning in exactly the same waters…The duty to defend the weak is what a Hindu calls her Dharma.”

Milind Parande’s call for the adoption of Hindutva as a political platform by all parties is likely to spark discussions and debates on the role of religion in Indian politics.
