In a united front against the Modi government, the opposition parties and various sections of the country have expressed outrage and disappointment over the recent Manipur incident.

The BJP-led government is facing scathing criticism, with Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray faction taking a lead in questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi and filmmakers who have portrayed similar events in other regions.

The incident in Manipur, which involved the nude parade of two women, has sparked national outrage and concern for women’s safety. However, what has added fuel to the fire is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement, which many perceive as insensitive and dismissive of the seriousness of the issue.

Shiv Sena’s spokesperson, Samaana, took a strong stance against PM Modi and the BJP, leaving no room for ambiguity in their condemnation. The party questioned the government’s commitment to addressing such incidents and demanded answers for the lack of decisive action in bringing the perpetrators to justice.

Drawing parallels with controversial films like “Kashmir Files” and “The Kerala Story,” Samaana challenged filmmakers and the government alike on their agenda. The spokesperson raised a pertinent question, “Should the film ‘Manipur Files’ be made and shown in the country like ‘Kashmir Files’?”

Critics argue that the Modi government’s response to the Manipur incident has not been in line with the empathy and responsibility expected of national leaders. The lack of urgency in addressing the issue and delivering justice to the victims has further intensified the public’s anger.

The opposition parties have rallied behind Shiv Sena’s questioning, with leaders from different political spectrums expressing their solidarity with the people of Manipur and demanding accountability from the government.

In the wake of the rising public outcry, social media has become a platform for citizens to express their anger and call for action. The hashtag #ManipurFiles is trending, with netizens demanding justice for the victims and a thorough investigation into the incident.
