‘Rape, Rectal Tears, Hepatitis, Trauma’: Kashmir’s Top Doctor Exposes ‘Healer’ as Serial Child Predator

A well-known Kashmiri doctor has revealed shocking medical evidence showing how a fake spiritual healer allegedly sexually abused young boys, leaving at least one victim with serious rectal injuries and a life-threatening liver infection.

Dr. Mohammad Sultan Khuroo, a respected gastroenterologist and former director of SKIMS Soura, shared details of the case from 2007, when a 17-year-old boy was brought to him with severe rectal bleeding. Medical tests showed deep wounds, abnormal narrowing of the anal passage, and unusual tissue growth—clear signs of violent sexual abuse.

“The injuries matched textbook cases of trauma from forced anal intercourse,” Dr. Khuroo said. The boy initially denied abuse but later revealed he had been repeatedly assaulted by a man pretending to be a spiritual healer.

The case took a more alarming turn when the victim developed sudden liver failure from hepatitis A, which can spread through sexual abuse. “This infection, combined with his rectal injuries, strongly suggests prolonged abuse,” explained Dr. Khuroo, an expert in liver diseases.

The doctor warned that such abuse exposes victims to deadly infections like HIV, syphilis, and permanent organ damage. He urged authorities and medical workers to act quickly in such cases.

“This man used religion as a disguise to prey on children,” Dr. Khuroo said. “We must protect young people from these predators.”

The case has sparked outrage, with calls for strict action against fake healers exploiting vulnerable families. Police are yet to confirm if an investigation has been launched based on these medical findings.
