Three Palestinian women were killed after debris from an Iranian missile hit a hair salon in the occupied West Bank, marking the first reported deaths of Palestinians in the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States.

Missile Debris Hits Hair Salon

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent and the official news agency WAFA, the incident took place late Wednesday in Beit Awwa, a town near Hebron.

The missile fragments struck a women’s hair salon, killing three women and injuring at least 13 others. One of the injured is reported to be in serious condition.

Officials believe the strike was caused by a cluster munition, a type of weapon that breaks into smaller bomblets and spreads over a wide area.

First Fatal Strike in West Bank

This is the first time Palestinian deaths have been reported in the West Bank since the conflict began.

“There had been injuries and damage before, but no deaths. That has now changed,” a report noted, highlighting the growing impact of the war beyond its main zones.

Ongoing Conflict and Civilian Risk

The conflict escalated after attacks on Iran in late February, leading to daily missile exchanges across the region.

While Iran has been firing missiles towards Israel, there is no confirmation that Palestinian areas were deliberately targeted. However, falling debris and intercepted missiles have caused damage in several places.

Lack of Protection for Palestinians

Unlike many areas in Israel, where bomb shelters are widely available, Palestinians in the West Bank have very limited protection during such attacks.

Many rely on sirens from nearby Israeli settlements or cities to get a warning of incoming missiles.
