In the twin districts of Rajouri and Reasi, several individuals are facing charges for allegedly sharing “objectionable content” related to the Ram Temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya on social media.

According to media reports, during the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple, some individuals posted “sensitive content” on social media platforms. This content has the potential to “disturb the peaceful atmosphere” in Rajouri district, prompting the police to take action.

“The Police has viewed the matter seriously and registered a case for insulting religious feelings of a community against them,” says a police official.

A similar incident occurred in Reasi, leading to another case against an individual for posting objectionable content. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Reasi, Amit Gupta, has urged people to refrain from sharing content that could disrupt peace.

The police are actively investigating the cases, and individuals found guilty of sharing objectionable content may face legal consequences, police said.
