Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke was allegedly slapped and manhandled during a protest in Jaipur on Monday, where a large number of young people had gathered to raise concerns over alleged NEET paper leaks and unemployment issues.
The incident took place at Shaheed Smarak, where Dipke arrived to address the gathering. According to videos circulating online, he was being carried on the shoulders of supporters when some individuals in the crowd allegedly pulled him down, slapped him, and tried to disrupt the event.
Dipke Says ‘Violence Cannot Silence Us’
After the incident, Dipke strongly condemned the attack and said the movement would continue despite such incidents. He stated, “I was beaten while I was entering. No matter how many attacks take place, we should not raise our hands. Cowards use violence. Even if there are a hundred attacks, they cannot silence us.”
He further said that the protest was peaceful in nature and would remain focused on student-related issues. “We will not respond with violence. Our movement is peaceful and will continue with peace and love,” he added.
Dipke also posted a video message on social media, where he said, “These are attempts to scare and distract us from the issue. Our only demand is that Dharmendra Pradhan must resign over student injustice and exam irregularities.”
Allegations Over Protest Management and Police Role
CJP spokesperson Abhishek Jain Bittu criticized the administration, alleging that the authorities failed to maintain law and order during the protest. He said, “The manner in which this attack happened raises serious questions about the role of the police and administration. Action must be taken against those responsible.”
National spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka also questioned the timing of the protest, claiming it was scheduled during peak summer heat to discourage participation. “Fixing a 3 pm protest in June appears intentional to reduce turnout,” he alleged.
Focus of Protest: NEET Paper Leak and Unemployment
During the rally, Dipke and his supporters highlighted issues related to alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, including the NEET paper leak controversy. Dipke accused authorities of ignoring student concerns and questioned government accountability.
He said, “Students are suffering due to repeated paper leaks and injustice. Instead of addressing it, attempts are being made to silence protests.”
The protest also saw slogans against unemployment and demands for stronger action against exam-related corruption.
Nationwide Expansion of CJP Movement
The Cockroach Janta Party, which describes itself as a satirical political platform, has recently expanded its protest campaign across several Indian cities including Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Amritsar, and Lucknow.
Dipke said the movement represents the voice of youth across the country and warned of a larger protest in Delhi if demands are not met. He has repeatedly called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination irregularities.
The group gained attention after using the term “cockroach” as a symbolic identity for resistance, building a strong online presence and attracting support from activists and public figures.
Other Incidents During Protest
Another participant, Bewesh Adhikari from Sikkim, who was also present at the protest, reportedly faced assault and lost his phone during the chaos. However, he later thanked the police for helping him
