The BJP released its three-part Sankalp Patra (manifesto) on Friday for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, promising a “Viksit Delhi” (Developed Delhi). BJP President JP Nadda presented the manifesto as a blueprint for making Delhi corruption-free and a model of development.
Nadda said, “Our ‘Sankalp Patra’ is the foundation for a developed Delhi.” He also highlighted the BJP’s past achievements, saying, “We made 500 promises in 2014 and delivered 499. In 2019, we made 235 promises and completed 225. The rest are in progress.”

- Mahila Samman Nidhi: Rupees 2,500 for women
- Old Age Pension: Increase in pension for senior citizens
- LPG Subsidy: Rupees 500 subsidy for poor women, plus 1 free cylinder during Holi and Diwali
- Healthcare: Implementation of Ayushman Bharat with additional health cover of rupees 5 lakh
- Support for Women and Mothers:
- Rupees 21,000 for expecting mothers
- Six nutritional kits for women
- Rupees 21,000 for pregnant women
- Senior Citizens: Pension raised from Rupees 2,000 to Rupees 2,500 for those aged 60-70
- Affordable Meals: Launch of Atal Canteen Yojana with meals costing Rupees 5 for people in slums
Nadda also praised the BJP’s work in various states, especially on women’s welfare, citing programs like Ujjwala Yojana and sanitation efforts under Swachh Bharat. “Women have been our main priority. We are already providing monthly Mahila Samaan in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh,” he said.
The BJP announced candidates for 68 of Delhi’s 70 constituencies, leaving two seats for its allies in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The JD(U) will contest from Burari, while the LJP (Ram Vilas) will contest from Deoli.
The elections will be held on February 5, with results expected on February 8.
