The discovery of a chopped animal head in a bag at Agra’s Shahi Jama Masjid has sparked outrage within the Muslim community. The disturbing find led to immediate action by the local police, who were alerted and took steps to maintain peace and prevent further tensions.
In response, police forces were deployed in Sadabad and Saupau towns to ensure tight security during Jume’s prayers. Special arrangements were also made at mosques in the countryside, with police patrols moving through the area to prevent any unrest. The presence of police carts continued throughout the day to ensure peacekeeping.
Adding to the sensitivity of the situation, a padyatra (foot procession) from Bulandshahar is also passing through the area to mark the birthday of Rana Sanga, which will be celebrated on April 12. The administration is being cautious about the event to avoid any potential flare-up between different groups.
CO Sadabad, Himanshu Mathur, spoke to the media, assuring that the situation is under control. “There is complete peace in the area,” he stated. “The local Muslim community is not agitated over the animal’s head found in the mosque. Everyone is living in harmony, and there is no risk of any untoward incident during the padyatra.”
The police have issued a stern warning to those attempting to disturb the peace, vowing to take strict action against any individuals involved in inciting violence or communal tension. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, especially focusing on any mischievous elements that could disrupt the ongoing peace in the area.
