Hyderabad: Muslim Merchant Assaulted While Transporting Cattle, Attacker Linked to Political Figure

A Muslim merchant was attacked in the Ghat Kaseer area of Hyderabad on Wednesday night while transporting cattle in a carriage. The incident took place around 11 p.m. when the man, who had purchased six cattle from the market, was on his way back.

According to the police, a group of young men, allegedly supporters of Pawan Reddy, the Madechal District President, attacked the carriage. The young leader and his group stopped the merchant’s carriage and physically assaulted him. The police arrested the individuals involved in the attack.

AIMIM leader Mela Mirsa Rahmat has condemned the attack and called for action.

The victim, identified as Amir Khurishian, is currently recovering. His supporters are demanding justice for the assault.

Chikilza-based community leader Uzmania General also expressed concern over the rise in such attacks.
