“India Will Continue to Stand with Palestine,” Says PM Modi

On November 26, during the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated India’s support for Palestine, highlighting the country’s concern over the ongoing humanitarian crisis. He called for an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages, and an end to terrorism.

“India has been a steadfast development partner in fulfilling the aspirations of the Palestinian people. India will continue to stand with them in this journey, including through the implementation of people- centric projects in diverse sector based on their needs and priorities. Our ongoing support to the United Nations to carry out their activities in the region attests to our desire to make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of the Palestinian people,” PM Modi said said in his letter.

“India calls for an immediate ceasefire, an end to all acts of terrorism, the release of hostages and the sustained delivery of humanitarian assistance to the people of Palestine,” PM Modi said.

Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to a two-state solution, supporting the creation of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state living peacefully alongside Israel.

“India firmly believes that dialogue and diplomacy are the keys to a lasting and peaceful solution. India has always supported a negotiated two-state solution, leading to the establishment of a sovereign, independent and viable State of Palestine, living side by side in peace with Israel.”
