In Madhya Pradesh’s Chattarpur former Congress district vice president Haji Shahzad Ali’s house was razed to the ground following allegations of stone pelting during protests against Ramgiri Maharaj for making inflammatory remarks on Prophet Muhammad on Wednesday.

Not only this while bulldozing his house vehicles parked outside his residence were also crushed down.

Ramgiri Maharaj allegedly commented on Islam and Prophet Mohammad at Shah Panchale village in Sinnar taluka of Nashik district during a religious event and its video went viral on social media.

According to the police, in response to provocative remarks, a crowd gathered at the police station, led by Haji Shahzad Ali. Following this, they approached the Kotwali police station in Chhatarpur district and began protesting and throwing stones.

The police personnel held an overnight demonstration against the attack and called for strict action from the MP government. The strict instructions of CM Mohan Yadav were given to the administration team, and the team identified the people based on video footage.

Following this, on Thursday morning they reached Haji Shahzad Ali’s house with a bulldozer and a Pokelin machine. A medical team also accompanied them in case of emergencies. The cops have filed named FIR against fifty people. Along with this, a case has been filed against 200 unknown individuals.

The SP has assured that they are taking significant measures to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. In solidarity with the police force the city market was voluntarily closed today.
