Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) CEO and Managing Director K. Krithivasan on Friday issued a detailed statement outlining the company’s response to allegations linked to the Nashik unit case. He said the company has launched a formal internal investigation and brought in external experts to ensure transparency.
Krithivasan said TCS has appointed consulting firm Deloitte and law firm Trilegal as independent counsel to assist in the probe. The investigation is being led internally by Aarthi Subramanian, President and Chief Operating Officer of TCS.
To strengthen oversight, the company has also formed a supervisory committee chaired by independent director Keki Mistry, which will review the findings and monitor implementation of recommendations.
“No POSH Complaints Received,” Says TCS
Addressing reports that employees had raised formal harassment complaints, Krithivasan said the company’s preliminary review of internal systems and records did not show any complaints related to the allegations.
He said, “A preliminary review of the systems and records pertaining to the Nashik unit indicates that we have not received any complaints of the nature being alleged on either our ethics or POSH channels.”
The company also reiterated that it maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards any form of harassment or misconduct and is cooperating fully with law enforcement agencies.
Clarification on Role of Accused Employee
TCS also strongly rejected media reports describing one of the accused, Nida Khan, as an HR manager. Krithivasan clarified that she was not part of the HR department and had no leadership responsibilities.
He said, “Ms. Nida Khan, who is being repeatedly mentioned in the press as HR manager of TCS, is neither a HR manager nor responsible for recruitment. She served as a process associate and did not hold any leadership responsibilities.”
This clarification comes amid widespread reporting of Khan’s alleged role in the case, which has been under investigation by a special police team.
Nashik Unit Operating Normally, Says Company
The TCS chief also dismissed claims that operations at the Nashik facility had been shut down. He confirmed that the unit continues to function normally and serve clients without disruption.
“Reports in the press about the unit being shut down are absolutely untrue,” he said, seeking to correct what the company described as misinformation.
Oversight Committee to Review Findings
As part of its governance response, TCS has created a formal oversight mechanism. The committee, chaired by Keki Mistry, will examine the findings of the internal investigation and ensure appropriate action based on recommendations.
Krithivasan said the company remains committed to ensuring employee safety and dignity while the matter is investigated through legal and institutional processes.
Cooperation with Authorities Continues
TCS reiterated that it is fully cooperating with law enforcement agencies investigating the allegations linked to the Nashik unit. The company said it is focused on supporting employees and maintaining workplace integrity during the ongoing probe.
