The Patanjali group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Russian government to work together on promoting health and wellness. The agreement was announced on Saturday. Baba Ramdev, a trustee of Patanjali Yogpeeth, said in a statement that the partnership will focus on health tourism, research, the exchange of skilled professionals and the promotion of wellness.

A key aim of the agreement is to expand Patanjali’s wellness services in Russia. According to the release, both sides will carry out detailed research on slowing down ageing and improving longevity. They also plan to develop methods to detect serious illnesses long before symptoms appear.

Another major objective is to share India’s spiritual traditions, including yoga, Ayurveda and cultural practices, with people in Russia. The statement said that India’s heritage and the teachings of its sages would be taken to Russia as part of the collaboration.

The agreement follows Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent visit to India. It also includes plans for India to provide skilled workers and trained yoga practitioners to Russia. The partnership will work to promote Indian brands in Russia and Russian brands in India.

Sergey Cheremin, chairman of the Indo Russian Business Council and a Russian minister of commerce, said the collaboration with Patanjali would be strengthened. He said that adopting Patanjali’s yoga, Ayurveda and naturopathy could help improve the lifestyle of people in Russia and support better health.

Baba Ramdev said India and Russia have always shared a close relationship on spiritual, economic, political and social levels and that this bond will continue in the future.
