Rajasthan: Dalit Boy Beaten, Forced to Kneel, and Urinated Upon in Ajmer

In Ajmer, Rajasthan, a 17-year-old Dalit boy was brutally assaulted, humiliated, and urinated upon by a group of men while he was making videos at Ana Sagar Chaupati on January 26. The incident was captured on video and has gone viral on social media.

The victim, a 10th-grade student said that a group of young men objected to him making videos, and when he inquired why, they turned violent, beating him with sticks. He was forced to kneel down and utter derogatory words while being assaulted. One of the assailants urinated on him, with another recording the shameful act. The identified perpetrators are Pushpendra, Rohit, and Gokul.

Following the victim’s complaint, a case has been registered under the SC/ST Act at the Christian Ganj police station. The police are working to identify and apprehend the accused individuals.

A local delegation met with Additional Superintendent of Police Mahmood Khan and demanded stringent action in the case, expressing concern over the victim’s shock as the video was circulated on various social platforms.

The Additional SP has instructed the police station to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure the arrest of the accused.
