In the ongoing controversy at Nashik involving alleged sexual harassment and religious coercion at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), one of the key accused, Nida Khan, is preparing to approach a court for anticipatory bail.
According to her family, Khan is currently in Mumbai and is expecting her first child. Her lawyer confirmed that an anticipatory bail application is being filed, with her pregnancy likely to be a central argument. “The application is in process and will be filed soon,” her legal counsel said.
Authorities are expected to verify her medical condition as part of the investigation, which is being handled by a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
Family Rejects ‘Mastermind’ Tag
Khan’s family has strongly denied allegations against her and claimed that she is being falsely portrayed. They also dismissed reports describing her as a senior HR official at the company.
“She has never been part of the HR team. She is a tele-caller in the sales department,” a family member said, adding that viral social media claims about her being an “HR head” are misleading.

Her father expressed distress over the situation, saying, “My daughter has not done any of these things. She simply went to work every day and is now being wrongly accused. Our family is under immense mental stress.”
The 26-year-old who has been portrayed as the absconding mastermind at the TCS-run BPO in Nashik is in Mumbai, and where she is expecting her first child, her family has told Hindustan Times.
Her relatives also said that no police team has approached them so far regarding her whereabouts, insisting that she is not absconding deliberately.
Case Background: Allegations by Women Employees
The case came to light after a 23-year-old employee filed a complaint alleging sexual harassment by a colleague who, she claimed, established a relationship with her on the false promise of marriage.
Police have since registered multiple FIRs under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including charges related to sexual harassment and hurting religious sentiments.
Eight women employees have come forward, alleging that they were subjected to mental and sexual harassment between 2022 and 2026. Some complaints also include allegations of religious coercion.
Seven employees have been arrested so far, while Khan remains the only accused yet to be taken into custody.
Limited Allegations Against Khan
According to details from one of the FIRs, Khan has been named in a case related to alleged religious harassment. However, the complainant has not accused her of sexual misconduct.
The complaint states that some employees made objectionable remarks about religious beliefs and attempted to influence others. Khan has been accused of being present during such incidents.
Investigation Continues Amid Rising Controversy
The SIT is currently examining internal communication records, complaint logs, and employee testimonies to establish the facts. Officials have indicated that all claims, including those made by the accused and their families, will be verified through evidence.
Meanwhile, the case has sparked widespread debate about workplace safety, internal complaint mechanisms, and the role of corporate management in addressing harassment.
As the legal battle unfolds, Khan’s anticipatory bail plea is expected to be a crucial development in the coming days.
