Telangana: Indian Air Force Aircraft Crashes during Training, Two Pilots Killed

A Pilatus trainer aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in Toopran town, Medak district, Telangana, claiming the lives of two personnel on board. The crash occurred around 8:55 am during a routine training session at the Air Force Academy near Dindigul district.

IAF officials confirmed that the victims included an instructor and a cadet. Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohini of Medak provided details about the unfortunate event, stating, “It’s a Training Aircraft from Dundigul airport. There were two people inside the aircraft, one trainer and a trainee.”

The SP further reported that emergency response teams reached the crash site. “The airport staff and clue team are on the spot. The firefighters doused the fire,” she said. Efforts are underway to determine if there are any survivors, with search and rescue teams combing the area.

“They are trying to find out if there are any survivors. They are combing the area to find if there are body remains. Further details awaited,” added SP Rohini.

The exact cause of the tragic accident remains unknown at this time, with investigations underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to the crash.
