Over 80% of Students Pass UP Madrasa Board Examination

Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Board (UPMEB) recently declared the results of the 2023 board examinations, revealing an impressive 84% overall pass rate among the students.

This year’s pass percentage marks a slight increase from the previous year’s 81%, showcasing the dedication and hard work of the aspiring scholars.

A total of 1.69 lakh students appeared for the examinations, which included Munshi/Maulvi (higher secondary), Alim (senior secondary), Kamil (undergraduate), and Fazil (postgraduate) courses at 539 examination centres across the state.

According to the UPMEB, out of the 1.09 lakh students who successfully cleared the madrasa board exam, female students outshined their male counterparts. Among those who passed, 55,046 were female students, accounting for an impressive 87.22%, while 54,481 were male students, making up 98.54% of the successful candidates.

Among the various courses, the Munshi/Maulvi (Arabic/Persian) examination saw 79.21% of students successfully passing out of 1.01 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam. The Alim exam had 88.8% of students, with 23,888 candidates passing out of 29,496.

For the Kamil course, a remarkable 91.2% of candidates cleared the exam, totalling 7,513 out of 8,120 students. Similarly, the Fazil course witnessed an impressive 95.31% pass rate, with 4,129 students out of 4,420 successfully clearing the examination.

The UPMEB celebrated the achievements by acknowledging the top performers in various categories. In the Munshi/Maulvi (Arabic/Persian) examination, Mohammad Nazil from Bhadohi district achieved the first rank. Chandni Bano from Farrukhabad secured the top position in the Alim exam.

Rukaiya Baby from Varanasi emerged as the highest scorer in the Kamil course, and in the Fazil course, Farha Naaz from Kanpur secured the first position.
