Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with other parliamentarians, will attend a special screening of the film The Sabarmati Report today at 4 pm in the Balyogi Auditorium at the Parliament Complex’s Library.

The film, which stars Vikrant Massey in the lead role, focuses on the events of the 2002 Godhra train incident. It has drawn significant attention from political parties, particularly the BJP.

Prime Minister Modi has praised the movie for unveiling “the truth” behind the train-burning incident, rejecting “fake narratives” surrounding it. He said that “facts will always come out” and reaffirmed this on social media, sharing the film’s trailer and stating, “It is good that this truth is coming out in a way the common people can see it.”

The Sabarmati Report has been declared tax-free in seven BJP-ruled states, including Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh. The exemption was announced in Uttar Pradesh after a special screening in Lucknow, attended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, his Deputy Brajesh Pathak, and the film’s cast. Actor Vikrant Massey expressed gratitude to the Uttar Pradesh government, urging people to watch the film.

Directed by Dheeraj Sarna and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan, the movie also stars Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra.
