On Wednesday, a man identified as Talib was shot in the waist for allegedly plucking Jamun (Black Plum) from government-owned trees in Muzaffarnagar’s Sanjhak village.
Talib was returning with Shahzad and Nauman after plucking jamun fruits from government trees. They were stopped by three young men who asked them not to pluck any fruits. During this encounter, a man named Upendra fired a country-made bullet injuring Talib severely.
Tahsin was taken to Shahpur police station by the other two companions. The police took him to a nearby hospital following which he was admitted into a district hospital.
Police are yet to take action against the three accused.
