In a heart-stopping moment at Kumbh Mela, a Muslim man’s swift action with his prompt CPR efforts saved a devotee’s life who had collapsed after a heart attack.
The Kumbh Mela, one of the world’s largest religious festivals, is organised every 12 years at four different locations for six weeks. Official records suggest that around 400 million people participate in this event.
The heroic move was made by Farhan Alam Idrisi, a volunteer from Prime Rose Education who used his life-saving medical skills to save the life of 35-year-old Ram Shankar.
The moment Farhan was trying to save Ram Shankar was captured in a video and went viral on social media with many applauding his bravery and swift action at the right time.
“Farhan fulfilled the duty of humanity,” wrote one user. Others commented that it is a great example of saving a life irrespective of religion by calling him a true hero.
