On Friday night in the Kasba Bawda neighborhood of Kolhapur, a mob attacked a young man who had posted a status on social media hailing Tipu Sultan.
The incident occurred late in the evening when a mob descended upon Aman, assaulting him and ultimately pelting stones at his residence. The enraged crowd, reportedly armed with stones, chased Aman to his home, creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation in the Shahupuri division.
Local law enforcement reacted to the unfolding chaos, arriving at the scene as soon as they received information about the incident. Tensions escalated as the mob demanded the immediate arrest of the young man and legal consequences. Aman was taken into custody by the Shahupuri police and is set to appear before the court today.
It’s important to note that as of now, no Hindutva activists have been arrested in connection with the people who pelted stones at Aman’s residence.
