The Muslim Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) hosted a successful Indo-Turkish Business-to-Business (B2B) program on January 11, 2024. A delegation of 20 members from Turkey participated in the event led by Sabri OZ.
Dr. Asghar Hussain Munir, Director UNESCO, Dr. P. Pandey, and General Secretary Ahirhan Okan from Turkey addressed the program. Mr. Tofiq Donmez from Istanbul introduced the members of his organization.
Dr. Pandey, a renowned Indian scientist with four registered inventions in the United States and Europe, showcased his invention, a sugar substitute that is not only sweet but also sugar-free. Another invention highlighted was a carbon fertilizer without harmful elements.
Nazeemuddin Farooqui, the Chairman of MCCI, expressed gratitude for the participation in the program.
The program also saw special guests and awards for outstanding business individuals. Orders for the year 2023 and special awards for the best business person were presented to MCCI members.
Wahid Sadiqi from Madhya Pradesh was awarded the ‘Best Importer of the Year’ for earning 11 crore rupees from imports from Turkey in the last fiscal year. Young entrepreneurs Muhammad Mazhar Shameem from Karnataka, Sadiq Sheikh from Maharashtra, and Shafiuddin from Bangalore were honored with the Best Exporter Award.
The Chairman of the Beta Scientific Committee, Mr. Sabri OZ, and MCCI Chairman Nazeemuddin Farooqui exchanged notes on mutual understanding. Sabri OZ presented a special token of appreciation to Nazeemuddin Farooqui on behalf of his delegation.
Abdul Ghani, the program’s coordinator, extended thanks to all involved. Discussions on potential business opportunities, prices, orders, and challenges in customs and cargo took place between the Turkish delegation and local traders and industrialists.
The B2B program proved beneficial as a large number of traders and industrialists derived value from it. The program concluded at 5 PM, with Sheikh Abdul Rahman expressing gratitude for the successful event.
