Karnataka: University Professor Tilak Gasti calls for Genocide of Palestinians and Demolition of Al-Aqsa Mosque

A professor at Khaja Bandanawaz University in Karnataka’s Gulbarga, Dr. Tilak Gasti, has sparked controversy by sharing hateful and Islamophobic content on his WhatsApp status.

Tilak posted pictures of a 3-year-old Palestinian child and his mother, calling them “terrorists”.

He advocated for the mass targeting of Palestinian children and the destruction of the sacred Masjid-al-Aqsa in Jerusalem.

“India with you Israel demolish Al aqsa mosque as earliest as possible build third temple,” said Tilak in one of the posts.

After the post went viral, Syed Aleem Ilahi, a leader of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), filed a complaint with the Kalaburagi Police Department against Dr Tilak Gasti, a resident of Kalaburagi, Karnataka.

“These actions are not only unethical but may also have serious legal implications. The sentiments expressed in these messages are offensive and go against the principles of harmony and peace that we value in our society,” Ilahi said in the complaint.
