RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said on Wednesday that the RSS is like a “protective shield” for India, similar to the police and army, and also plays a role in safeguarding democracy and security.
Speaking at an event in Jaisalmer, Hosabale quoted former Supreme Court judge KT Thomas, who once said, “The Sangh is a guarantor of protection of democracy and security in the country. Like the police forces and the Army, Sangh is the protective shield of the nation.”
Hosabale said that the RSS is not just an organization but a movement for “national resurgence and revival,” aiming to strengthen the country. He also paid tribute to RSS ideologue Deen Dyal Upadhyay on his birth anniversary and mentioned that the goal of expanding RSS branches to villages across India was close to being achieved.
