The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) has achieved a major victory, winning 42 seats in the Assembly elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured second place with 29 seats, while independent candidates won 7 seats. The Congress managed only 6 seats, and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) won 3 seats, with the Aam Aadmi Party and CPI(M) each winning 1 seat.
